Rollomatic Inc.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rollomatic Inc. is a Swiss manufacturer of precision CNC tool grinders for the cutting tool industry. Headquartered in Le Landeron, Switzerland, the company began in 1953 as a toolmaker for the Swiss watch industry, later evolving into a machine tool builder due to a lack of quality products on the market at the time. In 1976, the first manual pointing grinder was developed for in-house use, and the following year the company's first flute and relief grinder, called a "Roll-o-matic" was created, launching the company's entry into the machine tool arena.
The Swiss headquarters now employs 160 people in many capacities - applications, software engineering, service & support, machine assembly, R&D, marketing, sales & global management. The company has many subsidiaries throughout the world, including Germany, Great Britain, Japan, China, Belgium, Italy, Poland, Taiwan, Malaysia, South Korea, Turkey & the USA.
