Roleplaying camp may be a day camp or summer camp for children, teens, or adults, that is themed after a Renaissance fair, or similar setting. Period foods, live entertainment, and often melee combat simulations are common. Costumed actors play the role of counselors, providing activities for campers. There is usually no scripts or rehearsals, following the basic processes of Improvisational theatre.
RPCamp.com [1] is the only known camp at the moment that offers the experience. They offer its customers/campers a chance to live a medieval/fantasy themed summer camp for both adult and late-teens during the summer. There are also many free or community clubs & groups that have regular weekend or day-long role-playing adventures (see LARP).
RPCAMP.COM seems to be a new operation (2006?), based out of central Oregon. Some advertising is directed to attract existing [LARP] groups, online gaming guilds, and the Renaissance fair crowds.
