Roja Heydarpour is a journalist who began writing for the Scranton Times-Tribune in late 2007.

Heydarpour had written for the daily metropolitan[1] and cultural news[2] pages of The New York Times in 2006 and 2007, as well as contributed blog postings to the Times 's City Room blog and moderated reader comments.

Heydarpour is a 2006 graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism[3]

Heydarpour taught English to Afghani refugees in Tehran after receiving a B.A. in philosophy and political science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook[4]
