Welcome!
Hello, Roger McCartney, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! - I removed your post to the help desk because it did not belong there. The Help Desk is for questions about using Wikipedia, not for your vanity statements. Johntex\talk 19:10, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- Also, you can't create an article on yourself. I moved the text you created out of the article space and onto your user page. Please not that Wikipedia is not about writing an article on yourself. You can have info about yourself on your user page. However, even this is subject to limits. We are not a hosting service. Please read the above rules on how to contribute to Wikipedia. If you are not contributing to the mission of the encyclopedia, your account could be closed and your userpage could be deleted. Thanks, Johntex\talk 19:13, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:R 1.jpg listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:R 1.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.
