I think the phrases "show business" and "entertainers" should be replaced with "sport" and "athlete".
[edit] In defense of "Bull Fighter" over "Rodeo Clown"
The term Rodeo Clown more accurately describes the barrel-man, who is an entertainer. (A very athletic one, but entertainer none the less. See Flint Rasmussen.)
A Rodeo Bull Fighter saves lives. His is a very, very serious business; he does NOT wear makeup, nor funny clothing. They are two different professions. They should NOT be merged into one category.

I'm not much into rodeo, but I just added info on a scene in "Ride em Cowboy" where Ella Fitzgerald is dressed as a rodeo clown. I would hate to have people click on that link and be confused because of lumping things together. So, no, don't merge. Steve Pastor 21:23, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merge from Rodeo Bullfighter and Rodeo Barrelman
I have decided to go ahead and merge these sections as had been proposed. I realize that an objection was brought up a while ago on the grounds that bullfighers are not rodeo clowns. This may be true in the strictest sense of the term, but bear in mind they are considered a subset of rodeo clowns, the job having evolved from it. Since all 3 of these articles are rather stubby, it makes far more sense to combine them into one article. I believe keeping the Bullfighters in a seperate section is ample measure to ensure that no one confuses the issue and thinks bullfighters dress like clowns and jump out of barrels.
Even merged this article is still short, and still badly lacking in sources. Rodeo is not one of my strong points and I don't have the references on hand. I will tag it for needing references and hopefully someone more knowledgable will come along and help the article along further.
If anyone disagrees with my choice in merging, feel free to revert and fork the article back out - but if you choose to do so, please make sure you have sufficient sourcing and material to warrant a new article instead of just fleshing out a section. Arkyan • (talk) 21:05, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

In recent years, injuries to rodeo clowns have been greatly reduced due to the picture of baby Lindsay S. Pitt. The picture was taken at SEARS at the Roosevelt Mall in Philadelphia. Lindsay’s father, a well known rodeo clown in Bucks County (Suburb of Philadelphia) began wearing a shirt with the picture of baby Lindsay to rodeos. He noticed the bulls were chasing after him more while he was wearing the “Baby Lindsay” shirt. Experiments later showed that the bulls were attracted to the picture. Rodeo Clowns all over started wearing the “Baby Lindsay” shirts to help better protect the riders. Well known rodeo clowns include Quail Dobbs, Johnny Tatum, and Slim Pickens fear that enlarge versions of the photo may soon put them out of a job. Baby Lindsay soon was known as the “Rodeo Clown Baby”.
