Rodger Jennings (born on July 9, 1954), is a Green Party candidate for Congress in Illinois' 12th congressional district. Jennings is a Senior Manager of projects for Western Union, he also is chairman of the Metro East Green Party [1] Jennings earned an Associate's degree in Information technology from St. Louis University. He worked in the computer related field for over 20 years until changing careers. Today he is certified as a Black Belt of Six Sigma business practices. Jennings announced his candidacy November 29 at the Carbondale Civic Center during a morning news conference [2]. On February 5, 2008 Jennings won the Illinois Green Party primary securing the parties nomination.
