Board of Outer Darkness Where There is Weeping and Gnashing of Teeth

After some review of the "Board of Outer Darkness Where There is Weeping and Gnashing of Teeth" regarding this subject, I have a few thoughts. Those folks (and some of the folks here) seem to view everything in terms of personal conflict. Very few seem to view the encyclopedia as anything other than a series of folks trying in some manner to accumulate internet prestige or power. This makes the 'gotcha' nature of that site more understandable.

So, in relation to this issue, they seem to see the whole thing as righteous vindication for thier friends and abject defeat for the wikipeida "cabal" of persons who persecute them. I do not think many of them understand that most of those involved in wikipedia do not view this as a personal dispute, but rather abuse of the communities trust. How far that abuse of trust extends is a different question that I'm not prepared to give an opinion on.
