Talk:Rock am Ring and Rock im Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I don't know about the date-information ("Pentecost") - at least this year (2007) this is not correct, since the festival is the following weekend from Pentecost. Anyone knows what the planning of the dates is based on?
Actually, it's just the first weekend in June.
Traditionally it's the Pentecost weekend. But sometimes (like in 2007 or in 2006) when motor sports events are scheduled at that time it's delayed one or two weekends. I'll change the date in the table. --Thomas1341 23:16, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Nürburg isn't exactly the north west of Germany, but rather just the west. North west would be the state of Lower Saxony (Osnabrück), Nürburg is situated in the state of Rheinland-Palatinate, two states to the south. The public broadcaster there, one of the financialy supporters of the festival is actually the SWR=Südwestrundfunk=Broadcast of the south west. So I'm changing the 'northwest' statement into just west. Squig 14:19, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] moved Rock am Ring to Rock am Ring and Rock im Park
The article is about both festivals.
from the original article:
"The Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals are two simultaneous..."
and
"Both festivals are usually regarded as one event"
moved and fixed all multiple redirections
