[edit] Questions

Isn't there a better way to designate where this cemetery is than that awkward and unfamiliar Latitude/Longitude designation. At least, couldn't the degrees be divided into the more familar "minutes" and "seconds"?

It looks like it's in "UTM" coordinates. I cna't imagine why anyone added them - I've never seen any other cemetery with coordinates before. I think it would be OK to drop them entirely, or move them down to a sentence on location or something. - Willmcw 17:36, Mar 20, 2005 (UTC)
Willmcw: I added some street information to the article. Massysett 16:05, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
Thanks! - Willmcw 18:22, August 16, 2005 (UTC)

Is it really necessary to describe someone who has been dead for 100 years as a "former {insert title here}"? Jimpoz 20:53, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Not as far as I'm concerned. Dive in and change it. -- Astrochemist 21:34, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] In Rock Creek Park?

Can someone explain how the Rock Creek Cemetery is in Rock Creek Park? The cemetery is just west of North Capitol Street; Rock Creek Park's eastern boundary is generally 16th Street NW. Here is a map of Rock Creek Park from the National Park Service:

Rock Creek Cemetery is so far east that it is not even on this map!

The reason I ask the question, rather than just edit the article, is that I have seen signs that read "Rock Creek Park" on trails near the Metro Fort Totten Station, which is *east* of North Capitol Street. Massysett 15:59, 16 August 2005 (UTC)

Yes, it confused me too when I first realized that the park and the cemetery were far apart. However, the current first sentence of the article should make the location clear. Should something like "adjacent to North Capitol Street" be added? - Astrochemist 16:02, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
