Rocketbook (Study Guide)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rocketbook is a company created in 2005 by Steve Emerson and Rich Roberge. A Rocketbook is a video-based classic literature study guide similar in purpose to that of CliffsNotes or SparkNotes, but unlike the text-based guides, Rocketbooks use a combination of illustrations, animation, digital effects and music in their evolved approach. The text-based notes platform on myrocketbook.com offers additional titles to the Rocketbook videos and uses wiki technology (WikiNotes) in order to allow users to collaborate and express ideas on the versions of classic literature that Rocketbook offers.

[edit] Controversy

Like Monarch Notes, CliffsNotes and SparkNotes, Rocketbook had been the target of accusations by teachers and parents who say that students will simply forego reading their required assignments for school and simply watch a Rocketbook instead.
