Rock Williams is a FORMER Fort Worth On-Air Radio Personality for 95.9 KFWR The Ranch and Producer for the stations morning show. Born with the name Kevin Williams in Dallas in 1971, Rock moved to the Houston area in the early 80's, but calls the town of Spring his home. Rock is known for his off-beat comedy and spontaneous antics that tend to keep him always riding on the edge of normalicy. Shy as a child, Rock began "acting up" during his middle school days and never looked back.
Rock received his "call name" while working with Texas Country Band, Cooder Graw. Working as Merchandise Director for Cooder Graw was his introduction into the mechanics and inner-workings of the music business.
From his beginnings with Cooder Graw, Rock tried his hand at band management, working with The Charlie Shafter Band. Rock learned more about the music business with music manager & friend, Mike Crowley, and after two years on the road with Cooder Graw, finally began in radio. Rock is a "tell it like it is" person that pulls no punches.
During his job as Morning Show Producer for 95.9 The Ranch, he was sexually harassed by Morning Show Personality Steve Harmon. Harmon learned of the accusation and said he couldn't work with Rock there anymore. Rock was shuffled away from his position and subsequently resigned all together. Rock believed that radio was more a game of politics and money than about music and the listeners and denounced the station. Rock now resides in Fort Worth with his fiance', Robin, and indulging in his hobby of martial arts (Krav Maga & Jiu-jitsu).
Kevin "Rock" Williams eventually went to work for the City of Dallas in Animal Control. Not enjoying the euthanization segment of the job, he returned to his previous EMS training, working on an ambulance in Dallas alongside his best friend, Jeff "Jimmy" Gilbreath.
