Rock Monster is a 2008 TV movie directed by Declan O'Brien. The movie is about a group of college students who have travelled to an Eastern European village. One of them, the main protagonist Jason, pulls a sword from a stone, unwillingly reviving a rock monster. Soon, Jason learns that one of his ancestors had slain this monster before with the sword, and he plans to do the same. However, main antagonist Dimitar, who possesses a key stone, that in turn possesses the power to either kill or control the monster, has plans of transferring the rock monster's spirit into his body with hopes of the spirit making him "omnipotent". This movie is one of the Sci-Fi Channel's original movies.
