Rocco B. Commisso is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mediacom. He was born in Calabria, Italy, he immigrated to the U.S. at age 12.

- Currently the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Mediacom, founded the predecessor company in July 1995.
- He serves on the board of directors and executive committees of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association and CableLabs, Inc., and on the board of directors of C-SPAN and the National Italian American Foundation and is an honorary chair of Cable Positive.
- He was the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Cablevision Industries Corporation from 1986-1995.
- Before then he served as the Senior Vice President of Royal Bank of Canada's affiliate from 1981 where he founded and directed a specialized lending group to media and communication companies.
- In 1978 he managed The Chase Manhattan Bank's lending activities to communication firms.
