[edit] Summary
A median (central reservation) in Redwood City, California. Notice the use of rocks decoratively set in the concrete median for a pleasant "bulbous" appearance. This arrangement is commonly used in the U.S. state of California on arterial roads and expressways, especially where a median is too narrow to support landscaping.
The objects on the pavement in the background are Botts' dots.
