[edit] two questions
Hello, you used the {{helpme}} tag. How may I help you? When you've asked your question, please put the tag back so we know to check back. Alternatively, you can join the Wikipedia Bootcamp IRC channel to get real-time help. (Use the web-based client to get instant access.)
thank you for responding
My questions are: 1/. If I create a link tosomeonesname and that link points me to the wrong person, how do I point this to the right person?
- Add the Title of the page, to the link, ie it might be in the form of tosomeonesname (New Zealand) type
[[tosomeonesname (New Zealand)|]]this shows tosomeonesname
2/. How do I correct a spelling mistake in the title name of a page (and maintain the various links to that page)?
- WP:MOVE has a guide.
Thank you Regards Robert

[edit] Categories; edit summaries
Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. First of all, please use a edit summary, it helps other people who have pages on their watchlist know what you're doing. eg. 'added section about X', 'cleaned up links and spelling', 'added category'.
Also, please note that articles should not be in a high level category if they are already in a lower level category that is a subcategory of the high level one. For example, Category:Australian musical groups and Category:Australian music festivals are indirect subcats of Category:Australian music, so if articles are in one of the former they shouldn't be in the latter as well.

[edit] Go-Set
Thanks for all the editing on Oz pop music personalities. The Go-Set page would be really lifted by an image of a front page. Could you find one or know where I could search one out? cheers Lentisco 02:54, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I don't have any access to old front covers, but someone like Michael Gudinski, or Michael Chugg, Peter Rix, etc will have some for sure. Regards RobertandKathy 17:19, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Music categories
Hi there,
Thanks for the edits you have done to many Australian music articles. Just a reminder that articles do not need to be added to categories, when they are already a member of a sub-category of the first category. For example, Killing Heidi is already in Category:Australian rock music groups. This is a sub-category of Category:Australian musical groups, which is a sub-category of category:Australian music, therefore Category:Australian music should not be added to the Killing Heidi article itself.
I hope my explanation makes sense, if you have any questions please let me know on my talk page at User talk:Chuq!

Thanks for your helpful advice. I am only new at this and still learning the 'ropes'. Regards RobertandKathy 17:19, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Michelle-Lin.JPG
Thank you for uploading Image:Michelle-Lin.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:48, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
