Robbyyy - I was purely trying to add detail to the article, rather than a vague (and lame) attempt to add search engine optimisation to any web property. For example, if someone was to spot a website with a large number of people (1000+ including leading politicians and noted dignitaries) commenting on biofuels then how is that community opinion not relevant to the factual "group" understanding on biofuels in a Wiki?

Adding links is not adding detail or content. A blog is still a blog, no matter how popular, and is nothing but opinions. See WP:RS. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, no matter how relevant. If all "relevant" links were included, this would be google. Community opinion is not relevant, anyway, until and unless it becomes newsworthy in itself. If you are associated with the site, please see WP:COI - if you are, then you should not be adding the links even if they were appropriate. See also WP:SPAM and WP:EL. If you still think it is appropriate, you can certainly bring it up on the discussion page of any particular article to see if the Wikipedia community feels that the link is indeed worthwhile.
