[edit] Apodaca, Grantovskis or Grantoviskis?

As if there wasn't enough questions about Roberta Pedon's real name. Her death certificate lists her last name as Apodaca. Her father's surname is listed as Grantovskis not Grantoviskis (is this a possible typographical error?) This article's accuracy is wholly dependent on the correct birthname of Roberta Pedon. The assertion that her real name is Rosma Grantoviskis is due to one researcher (Charles S. Smith) and may be inaccurate by Smith's own admission that he shared his information too soon with the public. The accuracy of the name Grantoviskis needs to be doublechecked by another researcher. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dainfagerholm (talk • contribs) 07:56, 20 January 2008 (UTC) Dainfagerholm (talk) 08:17, 20 January 2008 (UTC)DainFagerholm

[edit] Necessary to support biographical statements with cited sources

The following text in her biography is unsupported by any facts or cited sources. This article needs to be edited with sources cited to support these statements and to separate conjecture/rumors from historical/biographical facts. Maybe when the Charles Smith book is published that can be cited as a source, but until then this article needs to rely less on rumors and unverified sources.

"Roberta’s mother regarded her early developing daughter as a freak due to her huge breasts. Parodying her mother’s voice in her breakthrough role in Delinquent Schoolgirls was Roberta’s revenge. According to people who met her, Roberta spoke with a normal American accent. In addition she was also fluent in Portuguese." (no source)

"Roberta’s relationships with men were of a brief and turbulent nature, following repeat patterns of Roberta seeking deep emotional attachment with men who merely used and discarded her. She claimed to have had affairs with an actor from the film Planet of the Apes and a faded television star who was to later die in mysterious circumstances in 1978. While few of her relationships lasted more than a couple of months, she did enjoy a longer one with the writer Gustav Hasford, author of The Short Timers and inspiration for the film Full Metal Jacket." (no source)

Are there any sources or interviews published which support these statements?Dainfagerholm (talk) 08:17, 20 January 2008 (UTC)DainFagerholm

The majority of these claims came from Smith’s earlier article on her, which now appears to be no longer online, and as you say, he now claims may have contained some inaccuracies. Might be worth contacting him to verify this information. The Smith article (I have a print out of it somewhere) mentioned that she claimed to have had affairs with a Planet of the Apes actor and a faded TV star, this is only what she told people, and therefore cant really be verified (the 'faded TV star' was murdered in 1978, the Planet of the Apes actor suffers from illness). Smith’s article did name who these two people were, but as it can only be considered a rumor, thought it best to refer to them in slightly cryptic terms here.--Gavcrimson (talk) 08:26, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

All of this info is mentioned in the DVD Commentary for Delinquent Schoolgirls, they even mention by name the two men she claimed to have had affairs with, does a DVD commentary qualify as a “cited source”?--Gavcrimson (talk) 06:35, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Father's name was not Robert Apedon

"The name is possibly a play on that of her father, sometimes identified as “Robert” or “Robert Apedon”. While she seldom spoke to friends about her background and sometimes claimed to be an “only child”, it is now known she had both a brother and a half sister."

This statement regarding the origins of Roberta Pedon's name have proven to be false since her father's name listed on her death certificate was "A. Grantovskis" and clearly not "Robert Apedon.Dainfagerholm (talk) 08:17, 20 January 2008 (UTC)DainFagerholm

[edit] Fair Use or Public Domain Photo of Roberta Pedon

A public domain photo of Roberta Pedon is really necessary for this article. Driver's license, mugshot, or personal photos would be very useful. Magazine covers are not necessarily public domain and have been removed from this article in the past.Dainfagerholm (talk) 08:17, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Dain Fagerholm

[edit] List of Magazine Appearances

A list of periodicals and magazines in which Roberta Pedon appeared would be helpful. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dainfagerholm (talk • contribs) 15:42, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Added two to start with, hopefully more titles will be added to the list and it will become more Definitive as time goes on.--Gavcrimson (talk) 07:00, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

"Hamburger Sex Illustrierte (No.40, 1974, Germany)" this title isnt a typo by the way, as its a german magazine i assume "hamburger" is meant as in, someone from hamburg, rather than the magazine being about people having sex with hamburgers--Gavcrimson (talk) 06:38, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Death Certificate

The copy of the death certificate for "Rosma Laila Apodoca" lists the social security number as "569-15-7346" and the "primary occupation" as "homemaker". An address of "1205 Buena Vista, Alameda, California" also exists. Ralph B. Bernstein is the physician. If the foregoing is acccurate it shouldn't be too hard to know if this is our gal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Theneweinstein (talk • contribs) 07:40, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
