[edit] Something strange, improper?

Why does this have "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia" in the article? Is this an improper re-creation of a page previously deleted, using what had been picked up by some mirror site before being deleted here? Gene Nygaard

[edit] Several additions

Prior to the sale of the newspaper, it was discovered that the County Attorney Arturo Figueros' family history contained years of unpaid property taxes. The attorney's wife was president of the school board and his brother was also a politician whose office was aware of the tax situation. Years of unpaid or ignored taxes by a great-grandfather on many properties in Zapata County included the presence of a second wife which further complicated the situation. These facts were uncovered by Alice Huff, editor, who had filled in for Bob McVey when he thought he was suffering a life-threatening lung disease. Bob weathered the fallout from the impact of the (well-known by local citizens) secret. The leak was never officially annnounced but the tips allegedly came from employees at the county courthouse.

Additional threats of cancellation of advertisement were received when charges were brought against the son of the largest grocer in town. The son was involved with the sale of marijuana in his college years and apparently an unresolved warrants was still outstanding.
Bob's courage and respect for the truth were outstanding characteristics during this time of personal and health problems and intimidations from the community. 172.163.127.213 01:17, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
