[edit] Major rewrite

I completely rewrote this article. the previous text was taken almost word-for-word from the Naxos' bio page on Barto (which is duplicated on his on website). Though Barto's website notes that the text and image are under the GDFL license, my understanding is that wikipedia isn't about simply copy/pasting text, it's about creating original articles--hence the rewite.

The original article completely lacked any in-text citation. I've added several, especially links to his own page as well as his Naxos bio and discography.

I also corrected several errors. The Swiss city of Basel is rarely spelled "Basle" anymore, this can be considered as an archaism. I changed it to the presently accepted American, British and German usage.

I also removed the two website links listed as "references" since both can now be found in in-text citations.

This section

[Barto] ha[s] been hailed by critics and music lovers. He is considered the foremost interpreter of works by Weiss and Hagen.

has no references and appears to be an editors personal opinion. (Don't get me wrong, it's one I agree with; I own all eight of the Naxos CDs and have pre-ordered the ninth as well an MP3 version of his Naxos Hagen disc from www.emusic.com; I'm a huge fan of his, putting him on the same level as Paul O'Dette and Christopher Wilson as interpreters of the lute repertoire.)

Without some references to back up this statement (critical reviews, etc), I don't feel this should be in a wikipedia article. I have, therefore, removed it.

This section, as well, has a problem:

...a special tribute to Sylvius Leopold Weiss...

a special tribute is redundant. Tributes are, by their very nature, "special."
