Robitussin DAC is a cold medicine manufactured by Wyeth. It comes in a solution and is only available by prescription and is a scheduled drug in the United States. There is a generic version called Cheratussin DAC manufactured by Qualitest. There is also a version without Pseudoephedrine called Robitussin AC

Robitussin DAC contains the following ingredients: Codeine, Pseudoephedrine and Guaifenesin, Codeine is an opiate, pseudoephedrine is a decongestant and guaifenesin is an expectorant.

Robitussin DAC helps cough, muscous buildup and congestion when someone has a cold or the flu.

Robitussin DAC should not be used by anyone who is allergic to any component of it. Overdose may cause breathing problems because of its codeine content.

Robitussin AC is just like Robitussin DAC without the Pseudoephedrine.
