Roberts is a city in Jefferson County, Idaho, United States. It is part of the Idaho Falls, Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 647 at the 2000 census.

Roberts is located at 43°43′11″N, 112°7′45″W (43.719599, -112.129048)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.9 km²), of which, 0.3 square miles (0.8 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (6.06%) is water.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 647 people, 160 households, and 138 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,054.5 people per square mile (805.8/km²). There were 179 housing units at an average density of 568.4/sq mi (222.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 49.77% White, 3.40% African American, 1.08% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 0.15% Pacific Islander, 42.19% from other races, and 3.09% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 57.50% of the population.

There were 160 households out of which 63.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.9% were married couples living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.8% were non-families. 11.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 4.04 and the average family size was 4.43.

In the city the population was spread out with 41.4% under the age of 18, 11.0% from 18 to 24, 28.7% from 25 to 44, 12.2% from 45 to 64, and 6.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 23 years. For every 100 females there were 108.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 114.1 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $31,071, and the median income for a family was $33,125. Males had a median income of $28,750 versus $17,000 for females. The per capita income for the city was $11,100. About 12.6% of families and 18.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 22.8% of those under age 18 and 7.9% of those age 65 or over.
