Robert Percy Smith

Robert Percy Smith (7 May 177010 March 1845), was a British lawyer and Member of Parliament.

Smith was elected to the House of Commons for Grantham in 1812, a seat he held until 1818, then represented Lincoln from 1820 to 1826. He also served as Judge Advocate General in India. He married Caroline Maria Vernon, second daughter of Richard Vernon. Smith died in March 1845, aged 74. His son Robert became a prominent Liberal politician and was created Baron Lyveden in 1859.
