Robert Ferley
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Robert Ferley (born February 4, 1982) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Nottinghamshire. He is a right-handed batsman and a slow left-arm bowler. He was born in Norwich.
Ferley began his cricketing career while still at university, playing for Durham UCCE, just prior to which he picked up two Youth Test appearances for England Under-19s. While his economy rate was large, he picked up his performance enough to pick up semi-regular appearances for Durham UCCE.
It was during the summer of 2003, when Ferley was picked up by Kent, that he made his big break, debuting with a four-wicket haul in his first innings bowling for the side. However, his form crumbled, and, finishing the 2003 season disappointingly, he has only appeared intermittently in the County Championship since. Ferley is still contracted to Kent for the 2007 season. Ferley is a lower-order batsman and frequent, albeit occasionally expensive, bowler.
