David Roberts was born in Poteau, Oklahoma and is the former National Secondary President of Business Professionals of America. Roberts grew up and attended school in McCurtain, Oklahoma, and is currently a 22-year-old Senior at Northeastern State University. David was first introduced to business student organizations in the 7th grade. As he progressed through his high school career he assumed leadership roles as Student Body President, Math/Science Club President, German Club President, Local 4-H. His leadership roles and contributions to his school and community were recognized through the President George Bush Student Service Award, National Leadership/Service Award, Oklahoma Interscholastic Press Association Feature Writer, Oklahoma House of Representatives Citation – Leadership. He also served as a host at Governor Brad Henry’s 1st Inaugural Ball, a role earned through his involvement with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.

Roberts is a registered democrat majoring in Political Science with a Public Administration emphasis and a minor in Leadership Communication. He has been actively involved with the following philanthropies: Special Olympics, St. Jude Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, and the Red Cross.
