Description

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and members of Texas A&M University's Corps of Cadets give the traditional "Gig'em" sign as they pose for a photo at the Pentagon March 14, 2007. In 1930 the Aggies of Texas A&M started the tradition of school hand signs in the Southwest Conference. The cadets visited the Pentagon to present Gates with a pair of signature senior boots to commemorate his service as president of the university from 2002-2006. DoD photo by Cherie A. Thurlby.
