[edit] Laz conspiracy?
What does Armenian language has to do with this town? The area was historically inhabited by Laz people ethnically closely linked to Georgians, who speak Laz language. Alsandro 19:17, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Some of the villages on the highlands (yayla) were inhabited by Armenians. Not that Rize is not only the name of a town but also the whole province. Filanca 11:37, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
