[edit] Regarding personal information
Regarding your question about personal information, some editors disclose personal information and others do not. Some editors disclose information about themselves on their Wikipedia:User_page. I do not know if there is a formal guideline about asking others for personal information, but in general I would avoid doing it unless you have a very good reason, since anonymity is an important part of the Wikipedia model. Under some circumstances, posting of personal information about someone else constitutes Wikipedia:Harassment. For general tips see Wikipedia:Etiquette. Buddhipriya 22:44, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
