Generally, I agree with you. However, we've refrained from going on from the current season in the past (all of 2008/2009 season articles were deleted at about this time last year), so it seems best just to stick to that - since there's really nothing stopping a 2010, 2011, etc. article from being created, too, if a 2009 can stick around.
