River Plate Football Club, was a sports club from Uruguay, founded in Montevideo, the country's capital.
The club reached important achievements in the amateur era of uruguayan football. In fact, Uruguay national football team uniform is a sky blue shirt in tribute to this team victory with a sky blue shirt over argentina´s Alumni Athletic Club. After the second decade of the twentieth century, the club entered in ostracism and disappeared.
