Rising Force is the debut album released by guitarist Yngwie J. Malmsteen issued in 1984. It is also the title of a song on Malmsteen's album Odyssey.
It is awarded as being the best selling instrumental hard rock album of all time, even though "Now Your Ships Are Burned" and "As Above, So Below" feature vocals.[citation needed]
