Rio Scale

The Rio Scale is a proposed scale for assessing the importance of a signal received on Earth from possible extra-terrestrial intelligent civilizations. The scale was suggested by Iván Almár and Jill Tarter at a conference in Rio de Janeiro in 2000.[1]
