Talk:Ring deutscher Pfadfinderverbände

[edit] English name
I checked out the National Scout Organisations, and the name of this organization in English is Scout Federation of Germany. I think we should change it to that name. --evrik 22:40, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Bad translation leading to ambiguities with the Deutscher Pfadfinderverband; literal Circle of German Scout Association. There is no official translation in use. --jergen 09:35, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- The name as it currently is listed does not fit in with Wikipedia:WikiProject_Scouting/RulesStandards#Article_names. The discussion is now going on at Proposed changes to non-English WOSM member article titles, so I suggest we keep our comments there. --evrik 09:42, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

- How about changing the article name to an English translation with "Ring deutscher Pfadfinderverbände" in parentheses right next to it? Either that or the other way around with an English translation in parentheses. --Jagz 18:01, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- There is an English translation right after the abbreviation in the first sentence. --jergen 19:32, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Deutsche Pfadfinderschaft Sankt Georg (DPSG)
The article does not discuss the change of DPSG to a co-ed organization. --Jagz 18:17, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- This article does not discuss the history of the Deutsche Pfadfinderschaft Sankt Georg at all; it's an overview of the national umbrella federation, but details can be found in the specific article.
- But perhaps it's only a misunderstanding: The DPSG is coeducational but did not merge with the Pfadfinderinnenschaft Sankt Georg so it has WOSM membership only. --jergen 19:38, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
