[edit] Ñejo y Dalmata

I pulled your speedy tag from this article b/c they were released by a major label, a division of Universal Music Group, apparently. I included that info in the article and I'll look for more sources to back up their notability. I wanted to let you know about this, but of course feel free to check on the article and make your own judgement. Thanks, Darkspots (talk) 05:09, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ridernyc, baby

I rather think we've both got the wrong end of the stick here. I apologise for removing the deletion notice from the Uka Uka page article because I thought the deletion debate was closed. In my defence it did have a very closed feeling about it in my opinion so when I said "the motion is passed" and all that jazz I thought I was just hammering the final nail in the coffin. I didn't intend to be disruptive and I'm very sorry. I personally quite like the Uka Uka article which may have made me a bit biased. If you wish to merge or otherwise delete it I won't try and stop you. I'd really rather you didn't but if you must. --Illustrious One (talk) 17:10, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion

I was wandering Ridernyc if you and I could fidure somethind out together about the tags insted of making an edit war. I am offering to fix the articles with my time if you can just tell me what needs fixed on them.Swirlex (talk) 16:22, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't think they can be fixed. I also don't like the sockpuppetry and your removal of tags and AFD templates. If you wanted advice you could have come to me and talked before you removed tags and accused me of vandalism. At this point it's in the community hands. I would encourage you to try to stop all the new editors from invading the debate since in most case they end up doing more harm then good. Ridernyc (talk) 16:25, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Given the fact that you are studiously ignoring me

And I can find the AN/I discussion or whatever you call it concerning myself and CBFan anywhere, might I ask what the current developments are and what my status is at the moment? --Illustrious One (talk) 02:23, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

guess what I'm going to continue to ignore you since you deny and ignore everything. Ridernyc (talk) 02:25, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
I most certainly do not. How rude. --Illustrious One (talk) 15:58, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Carlos Redman declined speedy, prodded

Hello, I declined the speedy deletion on this as it asserts notability with a claim of an international tour. Prodded pending verifiable sources for that claim. Dlohcierekim 14:22, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

that's fine but I doubt there will sources. The page is basically a cut and past of the bio on his website, which mentions nothing about touring. He gets a total of 174 google hits. there is a profile for him here but no albums or any news stories listed [1]. If he is so notable and established why is placing profiles online looking for people to play with [2]. His name combined with the word jazz returns 36 hits. HIs name combined with Aretha Franklin returns nothing but his myspace page. I also can not find anything about him living Paris. "Carlos Redmond" "Young Hearts Run Free" returns 0 hits. The more I look the more this looks like total self promotion not based in reality. Ridernyc (talk) 14:40, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bionicle

I want to know Ridernyc what in the world do you have against bionicles? Your adding tags and trying to delete them for no reason?Swirlex (talk) 22:23, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

I list the reasons in every AFD. Ridernyc (talk) 00:36, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

I have to ask if the Bionicle novels are considered a primary source, seeing as they are published by Scholastic, a publisher which is removed from Lego. Also, would it have been possible for you to simply nominate the articles to be Transwikied to BS01 Wiki instead of being deleted?--EmeraldWithin (talk) 16:28, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Carlos Redman sources

Did you find any on the page that worked? I got nowhere. Dlohcierekim 01:36, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

All self published, all misleading. At this point I can confirm, if the picture really is him he at least owns a trumpet, he did publish his own book, and he lives in Detroit, the living in Paris claim seems to be contradicted by circumstantial evidence. Like I Said even his own bio won't support the claims of notability. Ridernyc (talk) 01:41, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Also if he playing all these shows, how come I can't find one listing for any performance anywhere. Ridernyc (talk) 01:46, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The Residents edit Reply

Thank you for being so polite and helpful in your message on my User page about the info I added to The Residents. I can't say how much I appreciate that, having been - well, beaten about the (virtual) head for almost every edit I've ever made in Wikipedia.

That said, I just wanted to make sure that the "Obscurantist" page I started, which is probably gone now like everything else I've done, was referenced with a direct link, as "Obscurantist" as a reference to an artist (musician, etc.) I believe is a particular, note-worthy topic and item, and that I am trying to have a page that is dedicated to the very few artists who choose to work anonymously on purpose. If you can just make sure there's a ref from The Residents page to Obscurantism as related to art, that would be great. I'm too scared to make any changes to Wikipedia any more. WinkJunior (talk) 07:46, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Doctor Pretorius

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I've been putting some work into Doctor Septimus Pretorius. I hope the expanded content addresses your concerns about the article. Otto4711 (talk) 22:54, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] sensomusic usine article

I've made changes on the article I hope it rocks now! senso —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sensomusic (talk • contribs) 14:27, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Google News Archive Search

I don't know if you know about this, but Google has a News Archive Search you can use to search through news archives. I'm sure many editors and readers would appreciate it if you took a few seconds to look for sources before nominating an article for deletion. Regards, --Pixelface (talk) 13:37, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

I Always check for sources before nominating. Ridernyc (talk) 21:14, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Arkley Research Facility

After reviewing the case and the lack of sources (while borderline notable - since it is an important place in Resident Evil) I've decided to redirect the article to Resident Evil although some merging of the Facility article can be made.--JForget 03:58, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

That doesn't necessarily mean that the merge option is shelved. I've started a discussion at Talk:Wendy Smith in regards to possible merging. Normally, they should have bolded Redirect or Merge instead of Keep, there vote looks more like . But anyways, even it was keep or merge or redirect there is no consensus for deletion for that article nor the other related articles that were proposed for deletion 1 week ago.--JForget 20:44, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Then AFD shouldn't have much problem with it...

Should it... --Jayron32|talk|contribs 23:03, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

We really don't need to clog up AFD with tings that should just be speedily deleted. That is why we have a speedy criteria for bands. Ridernyc (talk) 23:05, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
Please don't make claims that you know what I did or did not do when I make my decision. I checked all the sources. I take my role as an administrator very seriously, and I don't take any of the adminsistrator actions lightly. The reliablity of those sources is open for debate, which is why it was appropriate to open a debate. --Jayron32|talk|contribs 23:22, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
If you want to add to the back log at AFD by forcing things to go there you are more then welcome to. Ridernyc (talk) 23:25, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Centralized TV Episode Discussion

Over the past months, TV episodes have been reverted by (to name a couple) TTN, Eusebeus and others. No centralized discussion has taken place, so I'm asking everyone who has been involved in this issue to voice their opinions here in this centralized spot, be they pro or anti. Discussion is here [3]. --Maniwar (talk) 00:17, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The Residents

No problem; they're a fantastic band. NSR77 TC 23:26, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

It must be difficult considering all the speculation and lack of verifiable information that flutters around. NSR77 TC 23:35, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Here's an interesting interview I stumbled upon: [4]. NSR77 TC 20:53, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Some things you should know about Yu Yu Hakusho

Firstly I removed all speculative and unneeded plot material from Genkai's page but I would like for you to know

a. Funimation other than make simple changes to make the series more understandable and appropriate for a English audience has a tendency to add in plot material that did not exist in the original Japanese version or change the original japanese plot a bit. Since I am also a member of TV.com I have stated some changed plot material in some of their episode pages

b. I fixed all speculation in Genkai's articles to remove the original research tag to keep it within the perimeters on what was presented in the material that I have learned in the Dvds and for those I couldn't remove I stated where that material came from including adding in which episode it came from. -71.59.237.110 (talk) 06:30, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

that's great and non of it deals at all with the issues presented in the tags. Ridernyc (talk) 06:47, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
