[edit] Recent vandalism

Since May 30th there's been nothing but vandalism. I've taken the freedom to semi-protect the article. --elias.hc 16:21, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

Great. Now it's just a matter of doing the same for Genji. --Foot Dragoon 21:30, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
You are not an administrator Eliashc, and hence cannot initiate the protection of an article, semi or not. Request protection at WP:RFP. -ZeroTalk 13:53, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
I knew I was exceeding my authority (none) when I did it, but I did it nonetheless (it had to be done). I'll request semi-protection if the vandal(s) should return. --elias.hc 14:45, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
It has little to do with authority. Per software reasons, regular users are not capable of doing protection. The administrative tools permit that capability. The vandalism is also not long and dire enough to warrent protection. See the WP:SEMI policy. -ZeroTalk 14:51, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
"I was exceeding my authority" was meant as a humorous play on Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. Too bad you didn't get it and took me seriously. --elias.hc 14:55, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
I tend to regard most comments on wikipedia very seriously. I don't notice sarcasism easily. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb is also a subject foriegn to me. -ZeroTalk 14:57, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
It's ranked #19 on IMDB. Great movie. As for the protection, I've removed Ridge Racer from Wikipedia:List of protected pages. Problem solved. --elias.hc 15:04, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:RidgeRacerPS1.jpg

Image:RidgeRacerPS1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] An interesting bonus for the original PlayStation

That's not a bonus, almost any game with CDDA will play other audio CD if disc will changed after loading, and any game CD which uses CDDA can be played as audio CD. I mean, that's not unique for Ridge Racer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.107.209.152 (talk) 04:33, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ridge Racer Full scale

god, i miss those. the one at blackpool has seen better days though, the entire car has been stripped down, and the interior sold as spare parts. pity, it was so much fun. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.42.205.93 (talk) 15:02, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
