Ridgewood Pearl Stakes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ridgewood Pearl Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the Republic of Ireland for four-year-old and above thoroughbred fillies and mares. It is run over a distance of 1 mile (1,609 metres) at the Curragh during the Irish 2,000 Guineas meeting in May.

The race was introduced in 2004 and is named after the Irish trained filly Ridgewood Pearl, winner of the 1995 Breeders' Cup Mile, who died in May 2003. Having initially been classed as a Group 2 race, it was downgraded to a Group 3 in 2007.
