Rideau Ward

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rideau Ward was the name of a number of wards in the history of Ottawa City Council.

Most Rideau Wards were located in the area around where the Rideau River flows into the Ottawa River. For the modern day name of that ward see Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward. The current Rideau-Vanier Ward is located in the same area.

A Ward also existed encompassing the former Rideau Township after it was amalgamated into the City of Ottawa. It existed from 2000 to 2006 when it became part of Rideau-Goulbourn Ward.
