A stone wall and the cement foundation for the hotel is all that remains today of the Sandberg Summit Hotel. Even so, it remains a favorite picnic stop because of the cool air afforded by the elevation (4170 feet above sea level), and the shade afforded from mature pine and California live oak trees.
