Sometimes you discover the most shocking things reading Wikipedia. The idea that Richard Dawson was married to Diana Dors I find absolutely amazing... A picture of her in her heyday would be a good addition here, but the only one I have of her is from St. Pepper's album cover :( -- Someone else 05:54 17 May 2003 (UTC)

How can his 14 year old daughter have three kids already? read the last paragraph. makes no sense in that context.
Although I too feel this should be corrected, if you read the entire article it should be fairly easy for most people to assume that his grandchildren are from his relationship with Diana Dors... but then again, it took me two times before I finally read through the entire article to figure it out.
I dispute the above two statements and they should never have been included. The Dawson life-line clearly makes claim of two sons from his first marriage and that he won custody of his children soon after the cancellation of the Hogan's Heroes television series in 1971. As a result, Dawson's grandchildren are clearly referenced as his son's children. The individuals who authored the above entries simply failed to learn to read effectively while young and need to utilize memory reading exercises in hopes of improving their reading efficiency. In fact, if the first two entries would never have been made, I would not have had to author my own as the article clearly states that Richard Dawson's "14 year old daughter" has two half-brothers and is half-aunt to their three children. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.243.205.14 (talk) 19:47, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

I removed this sentence:
- At the age of 7 he was cast as an unbilled extra in The Wizard Of Oz under the name Dickie Roberts. With no acting permit, he was never formally acknowledged and did not receive any pay or credit for his work.
I can't find anything on Google, the IMDb, or anywhere else to back this up. Considering that the only "Dickie Roberts" I've heard of was the David Spade movie character, I doubt this is true. Iowahwyman 16:41, 22 Sep 2004 (UTC)
[edit] 1960s game show
I remember Richard Dawson hosting a game show in the 1960s that was a lot like concentration - you pick a number on the board, it shows you half of a common phrase, you try to pick the number that has the other half of the phrase. I happened to see it once when Bill Shatner was one of the celebrity contestants, and one half of the phrase was "A mule is". The other half was "an animal with long funny ears." Shatner remarked, "So is a Vulcan." Ha ha? Help me out, what was this show called?

The caption for the photo of Dawson mentions a notorious 'School Riot' episode, which is not explained at all in the article.

Where's is the evidence of Richard joining a 12 step program? If you are gonna post something(a liability no less) that "deep"...at least have a source to back it up. I'm not defending him or accusing him...I just think it's unfair you post that without any evidence. I'd venture you are one of the trolls on here and will be dealt with by the admin. accordingly

I vaguely recall a documentary about Family Feud's hosts. I recall allegations of Dawson being an alcoholic and possibly being drunk during the show and engaging in inappropriate flirting/commentary with female contestants.
