Talk:Richard Butterwick
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As an Englishman living in Poland, I was driving along in my car listening to Radio Druga (the Polish equivalent of BBC Radio 3) when I heard a man speaking very good Polish with an English accent. I picked up the context from the interview that he was speaking at a conference in Krakow and that is was connected to Polish history. Catching his name at the end of the interview, I did some research on Dr Butterwick and see that he is a respected Polish historian, following a similar career path in many ways to Professor Norman Davies (from 1971, Davies also taught Polish history at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) of the University of London, where he was professor from 1985 to 1996. Currently, he is Supernumary Fellow at Wolfson College, Oxford). Ivankinsman 16:51, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
