Well, first of all, the article should mention him being a contestant, as that's an assertion of notability which would mean it won't be deleted immediately. :) To link to it, all you have to do is put two square brackets around the words that form the name of the article, like this: [[Latin American Idol]]. Also, it will help that article to link back here if this article's name is properly capitalized.
