BBC World's Rico Hizon anchors the daily business and finance programme Asia Business Report and one edition of World Business Report live from Singapore Monday to Friday.
Rico has been given "The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) for Broadcast Journalism" award in the Philippines and has close to 20 years of regional journalism experience. Before entering the broadcast industry, he was a lecturer in De La Salle University. Filipinos find it hard to compete in broadcast journalism. Rico rescued them. He is the first-ever Filipino broadcast journalist to ever work for two of the world's most prestigious television news networks - CNBC and BBC World.
