Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Richard Pellengahr (19 August 18839 October 1964) was a major general in the German Wehrmacht, commander of the 196th infantry division. He was of Polish descent. He successfully conquered the Norwegian city of Hamar with only three men.[citation needed]
