Richard Pearse Airport (IATA: TIU, ICAO: NZTU), also known as Timaru Airport, is located in Timaru, New Zealand. The airport takes its name from the local pioneer aviator, Richard Pearse, who allegedly flew before the Wright Brothers. A small airport with an asphalt runway, it offers commercial flights to Wellington, Christchurch and on occasion Oamaru.
