Richard Javier Morales Aguirre (nickname El Chengue) (born February 21, 1975 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan international footballer.
He transferred to Málaga CF in the summer after spending three seasons at CA Osasuna.
He has been capped numerous times for the Uruguay national side, his two late goals against Australia in 2001 ensuring his country a place at the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan. After that match, he became a fan favourite in Uruguay, reaching the status of a cultural icon, and now is regarded as one of the best athletes in the history of the country. Currently (as of march 2008) he's the captain of Club Nacional de Football.
