A successfull broadcaster in his own right, Richard is a relative late comer to the ARCA Re/Max Series at the age of 23. Richard developed an interest in Motorsport at an early age, and became interested in SuperSpeedway racing with the construction of a 1.5mile Speedway in Corby, England[2].
[edit] SCSA
Richard Garvie [3] and his Tallboy Motorsport team competed in the European stock car series SCSA (previously ASCAR / Days of Thunder) with sponsorship from GCap Media and the Gold Network. Additional sponsorship came from 2D Media Design and 2D Modelling Agency. With financial support withdrawn by Rockingham Speedway, the SCSA series is now a club based series competing on road courses and sanctioned by the Motor Sports Association. Richard is among a group of former supporters of the series looking at ways to bring back the popular "Thunder Sunday" package to Rockingham and an anouncement is due in April 2008.
