Ricardo (Rick) Sanchez is the current Vice-President of Content for Turner Broadcasting's GameTap service. He oversees all of the original game and video development, game licensing, and content strategy for the service. Before launching Gametap in 2005, Ricardo was a founder of IGN Entertainment and served as the Vice-President of Publishing, managing IGN, GameSpy, Rotten Tomatoes, Team Xbox and the Planet Network and Vault Network.
Ricardo is currently best known for promoting the development of epidosic games. He has written articles for Gamasutra and GameDaily and presented at the D.I.C.E. Summit on the subject of episodic games, establishing what he calls the "Three Laws of Episodics" that are a guide for GameTap's development of episodic games.
In addition to working on episodic game development, Ricardo is the creator and executive producer of Re\Visioned: Tomb Raider Animated Series, based on the Tomb Raider franchise featuring the voice of Minnie Driver and the creative talents of Brian Pulido, Warren Ellis, Ivan Reis, Cully Hamner, and Peter Chung among others.
