The article will be used to illustrate a biographical page on Peacock. There are no free images available of Richard Peacock known to exist.

I read that UK Copyrights on works published anonymously before 1989 expire 50 years after first publication (i.e. works published before 1957 anonymously are PD). Additionally the "Imperial copyright act 1911" only protects photographs for 50 years after the first "making of the original negative". Given the photograph must have been taken pre-1889, copyright would have expired at the latest in 1940, before the 1956 copyright act came into force
