[edit] Sources
The standard works on this topic are
Kühl, P. : Geschichte der Stadt und des Klosters Ribnitz in Einzeldarstellungen. Studien z. Landschaftskde., Kolonisation, Kultur- u. Wirtschaftsgesch. d. äußersten Nordostecke Mecklenburgs. -- Ribnitz, Kogge, 1933. 753 S.
and
Erichson, H.: Zur Geschichte der Städte Ribnitz und Damgarten von der Gründung im 13. Jahrhundert bis zum Zusammenschluß im Jahre 1950. Ribnitz-Damgarten 1997. 297 S.
I have access to the second one and will add references when I have the time. The first one is certainly preferrable as a source.
[edit] Failed "good article" nomination
This article failed good article nomination. This is how the article, as of March 18, 2007, compares against the six good article criteria:
- 1. Well written?: Much of the article appears to be well-written, but single sentences should not stand alone. Either incorporate them into another paragraph or expand upon them.
- 2. Factually accurate?: Only one source is used in this article. Add more sources (don't be afraid to use online sources), and by doing so, you can help to expand the article of more information.
- 3. Broad in coverage?: The main reason that I am failing this article is because the article is not broad enough. Look to other GA/FAs of cities for examples of other sections of information you can to the article to expand it. Again, by adding more sources, you can find new information to add to the article as well as expanding the current small paragraphs.
- 4. Neutral point of view?: I don't see any problems here, make sure it stays that way.
- 5. Article stability? Looks good.
- 6. Images?: Good job getting all of the free images
When these issues are addressed, the article can be resubmitted for consideration. If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to take it to a GA review. Thank you for your work so far. Altogether, the article mainly just needs to be expanded and more sources added. At this point I am failing the article and once the above suggestions are fixed (maybe consider getting a peer review as well) you can renominate for GAC. Good job so far, but keep improving! --Nehrams2020 19:34, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
