Rib Hillis

Robert "Rib" Hillis (Born November 21, 1971) is former model and television and film actor.

Born as Robert Duane Hillis in Suffern, New York and Rib grew up in Newton, Massachusetts, with his parents, two sisters and brother. He graduated from Newton South High School. He picked up his unusual nickname "Rib" while in the third grade playing with frogs, and enjoying the sounds that they make.
During his junior year at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Rib was discovered by a modeling agent. After graduation, Rib traveled to Paris where he landed various print campaigns such as Versace, Armani and Catalyst Cologne. Upon returning to the U.S., Rib came to Los Angeles during the spring of 1996 and landed a role on an episode of "Baywatch Nights" as Jeds and a Braun commercial.
In 1997, Rib was thrilled to land a part on General Hospital's spin-off Port Charles as Dr. Jake Marshak. He was on the soap from 1997 until 1998. Rib said it was a dream come true.
Rib appeared on an episode of America's Next Top Model, Cycle 4 in 2005 as a male lingerie model in the episode "The Girl Who Pushes Tyra Over The Edge".
At the age of 35, Rib in May 2006 substituted for Eric Martsolf as Ethan Winthrop, this was because Eric Martsolf had taken a week off work at Passions to help wife Lisa with their newborn twin sons.
Rib is happily married to Melissa Blackler with twins, Dane and Hannah Hillis. Rib enjoys traveling with his family, and meeting the people who are called to help families on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". He recently has spent time with Taylor Hutcheson and Amy Mulherin, good friends of his that he met while shooting the show in Vermont.
In the Fall 2007 TV season, Rib has joined the design team on ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
