Rhodes Reason (born April 19, 1930 in Glendale, California) is an American actor.

[edit] Career
Reason made his acting start at age 18 in Romeo and Juliet, directed by Charles Laughton. He has appeared in over 230 roles in television, movies and stage works. Notable starring roles were in the series White Hunter (1958), and as Sheriff Will Mayberry in the TV series Bus Stop (1961). His numerous guest appearances include Death Valley Days (1952), Maverick (1957), Perry Mason (1957), 77 Sunset Strip (1958),The Time Tunnel (1966), Star Trek (in the episode "Bread and Circuses") (1966), Here's Lucy (1968) and many more. In the early 1980s he starred in the Broadway musical Annie, playing Daddy Warbucks for nearly three years.

Reason is the younger brother of actor Rex Reason.
He is an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He is currently retired and living in Portland, Oregon.
